Sorry, I have to write this in English as my Dutch is not so good anymore. I remember we had an exchange student and her family, Monique Veeris from Curacao at our school for a while. Her father taught for a while. I remember the first grade teacher had a middle finger that she couldn't bend and she gave a party at her house every year for her class. I remember Mrs. Hadwijk(?) brought in a sugarcane once. And in the 5th grade an owl was hanging on the wall. He was found with a broken neck. I also remember that if you wouldn't behave in the second grade you had to stand behind the black board. Also, we were all so little that we could squeeze through the gates at the playground without turning sideways. And after a wet night we used to bend sticks and catch all the cobwebs in the bushes.
